Trouble is – rake back affiliates have no interest on retaining the player for the property – the aff could care less where the player plays, just as long as it’s under him.
Isn’t that universal though? I’d obviously prefer that my players play at properties that are giving me the highest rev. share, but to be honest, as long as they stay with me somewhere, it doesn’t matter to me which room it is.
I’d think the same argument could be used against CPA affiliates. They want to move their players from room to room to get that CPA x 5 or how many ever sites they promote.
I believe the poker sites themselves are as much in a bind on this as the affiliates are. It’s bad enough they have to worry about losing their best players to the massive sites like Party, but then they also have to worry about losing them to other 2nd and 3rd tier poker rooms that allow rakeback, if they do not offer it themselves… :fencing:
It’ll be interesting to see how this has played out a year from now.
