What will happen to you if you allow rake back is that the players will approach the room and ask to be transferred to a rake back affiliate. What will you do with an irate player like that? Steal from the rightful affiliate who brought him? If you don’t, the rake back affiliate will move the player to another room. Or teach the player how to open a second account, which then leads to bonus problems for you.

What about the player complaints about rakeback affs who promised the moon and then left them sitting there? They will now leave your room angrily and not come back.

If you want to retain the better players and attract a lot of established affiliates, affiliate driven rake back is not a good idea.

The room should administer the rake back directly and thus retain the player. It is the room that has the accounting in place and the interest to keep the player. Rewarding good customers should be a natural. Bringing in a third person will just make you lose players to other rooms – the rakeback affiliate doesn’t care where his player plays, as long as it’s under him/her.

As always, I advise all affiliates who do not offer rake back themselves not to promote a room that condones rake back. It’s just a good way to end up losing players and working for naught.
