Hi,

I have been reading this thread with interest as these changed terms and conditions really have caused a great deal of confusion and frustration. Let me explain – as an affiliate relations manager for an online gaming site I have encountered a number of concerns when trying to change terms and conditions, and I always find it interesting to read these forums to keep up to date with what you the affiliates need, and can’t work with.

I agree that it’s not just referback that needs to change but other main affiliate programmes as well. Dominique does however have a point, that it is always a risk to remove links as it might decrease your incomes, but as she said by changing programme this will not mean that you cannot recoup money lost with other programmes. No plug for my site intended by that, but looking at this from an outsiders perspective I can see both sides. Referback, or any such sites, needs you for their revenue as you need them for yours. Therefore any changes that affect the symbiotic relationship need to be addressed fully with all parties before implementation to ensure it is mutually beneficial. I am surprised that this situation has occurred, and await with curiosity the final outcome.
