Simmo, I think it is likely a very good idea for newer pages that are looking for ranking.
It is just not how I do things – I would never link to a site that I have not seen and whose owner I do not know. And I don’t like link pages. I avoid the dropped link bit by listing to people I trust. And it’s educational to visit the sites of my peers occasionally. Since I only link to a handful per page, it’s no big deal for me.
If I had any new pages I would consider it for sure.
I am always interested in more self-updating promotional feeds, and also in tournament feeds. I think tournaments would be really hot if publicized widely and consistently. I don’t mean competitions as to who drops the most money, but real tournaments. I think if the casinos had a better ad outlet for these, they would conduct more and they would be a big hit in all types of games. I would have also liked to have your payout feed, but I don’t ever allow other people’s links on my sites, it confuses things too much. If you were to charge a nominal fee instead I would jump in with both feet.
an idea: What about a membership driven feed where we can view all the programs, the salient points in their T&Cs, and be notified when any of them change… This has kind of become a necessity for affiliates.
