If an agent turns an unknown actor into a major star, he/she is entitled to be compensated financially, which is fair, there would not have been any money, had it not been for the actions of the agent in the 1st place.
If a man marries a woman and becomes a financial success, he is responsible for financially supporting the woman, should they end up getting a divorce. The reason being, that the presence of his wife contributed to his success, regardless of the amount of her involvement.
These are laws of society that most countries follow, a legal contract is binding, and can only be altered if all parties involved agree to the new terms, since this is obviously not the case, any legal action taken will most certainly favor the affiliates.
My 2 cents, bashing them online is definitely a good start, since it was your positive reinforcement that made them a success in the 1st place, new players will always be around, gambling has, and will be around forever, people turn of legal gambling age everyday.
The impact may not be immediate, but will certainly hit them hard in the future.
