The parents are to blame though, selling their child’s identity like that.True. Both parties are to blame, not just Golden Palace. Golden Palace didn’t force the name upon the child. The child’s father created the auction and only wanted $15,000 (“Buy It Now”) for the naming rights — that’s extremely low if you ask me.

According to the GP website, this isn’t the first baby to be named GoldanPalace.com. Here, it says that “other babies also share the casino’s name.” And, “You can expect more baby-naming in the future as I am sure other people will follow suit and be looking to auction off the naming rights to their children.”

I think this whole practice of selling a baby’s name is reprehensible. Shame on the parents, and shame on Golden Palace for encouraging it. Please, leave the children out of it. There are hundreds of other ways to advertise; this definitely should not be one of them.

I noticed something strange about the auction — Golden Palace won the auction less than 2 minutes after it began.

Is it just me, or is that highly unusual? Does Golden Palace have someone sitting there watching for these opportunities on eBay 24 hours a day? Either GP knew about the auction beforehand, or it’s a huge coincidence. Something seems “off” about this.

you’re helping to bankrupt the mothers and fathers of real children …
anyone who is promoting online casinos can’t talk about MORAL anything, PERIODI disagree. People who lack self control when it comes to gambling will bankrupt themselves anyway, without anyone else’s help. I could go on about this, but I’m not going to. Sharpgambler made some good points in his post.
