One point is missing: To sign a significant number of new affiliates one has to not allow rakeback to be offered by any affiliates.
It makes no sense to try to compete against other affiliates who may be offering up to 50% rakeback. Any affiliate to sign up with a new room allowing affiliate driven rakebacks would be a fool.
If the rev share for affiliates is being supressed so heavily by rake back offers on the same roker room they advertise, affiliates will either drop the property, move it to an unconspicuous place just to fill space and definitely not allow it to infringe on income they make with non-rakeback places.
It also precludes any paid campaign for said poker room. The money just isn’t there to inspire the type of affiliate who spends money on campaigns.
