I don’t think the SE’s are too blame. None have given out their magic formula. Lots of observation and controlled tests have given us all an insight into what factors are weighted more than others.
So in closing, gather up all your integrity and try something worth while. If you try the tricks some people are talking about in this thread you’ll get left behind in the innumberable amount of future google upates to come…
That is of course unless you change and adept to the new ‘tricks’.
Slowly, one by one, your tricks will expire … and then, only sites that offer things will be left.
I hope one day this is true, then the WWW will be a very valuable place of information. THEN what will happen? People will just copy everyone elses content.
IS THIS THE LIFE YOU WANT? I want to build quality websites myself… playing little tricks on each other is pretty childish. Why should anyone be exempt from the rules of the game?
Fine then, build your quality websites. But then take some time and look at reality. You can have the best product/site/anything in the world but if you don’t have effective advertising nobody will be able to enjoy what you have to offer.
What if I have a personal blog and for whatever reason you tarnish up my family pictures and dialog with your casino ads… hmmm… is that okay?
Protect your blog and disallow comments after a certain time period. If you are regularly maintaining your blog then there will be minimal work involved to keep it spam free. I am talking about unwanted and unloved blogs that are literally just floating around in cyberspace.
Another interesting thought would be the analogy of giving a blowjob to the boss to get a raise. Not only is it unfair; like spam it is disgusting. True it’s an unfair world out there but do you really want to lower yourself to the level of those who make it unfair?
It’s not unfair. You think it’s unfair that people are willing to do things to suceed that you mentally can not? While we’re at it why don’t we complain that only women are allowed to work at strip bars, or that the majority of construction workers are men. Not that I’d do it, but if someone was willing to give Sergy Bin a BJ to get #1 positions accross the board then I would not complain.
For everybody against blog spam, I am still awaiting my 10 keyphrases.
