Imagine if a porn site complained to Google about copied content. Google would probably laugh in their face.
We are getting pretty close to being a sleezy industry – with all the spamming being likely primarily gambling places, it is no wonder the engines want to get rid of us. See the post about Yahoo not taking new gambling listings and considering the legal aspects of keeping/tossing the established ones.
I would be interested to hear some affiliate manager opinions about this.
My guess is many won’t like it – it cuts into profits in the short term.
In the long run I think in the current climate it is very important NOT TO ANTAGONIZE THE SEARCH ENGINES!!!!!
