Popup blockers are everywhere… even the yahoo and google toolbar have them. I think pop up blockers will increase in usagr. Yes there are ways to get around them, but obviously if the visitor to your website has a popup blocker, and you give them a popup, then you are not giving them what they want. They might then get the idea that you are trying to hijack their browser.
