Good for you for taking the time to fly to Vegas for the sentencing.
At least you managed to get the guy the max sentence. It’s highly unlikely the judge would have given him more than 3 months if you had not been there.
It’s a shame that crimes are plea-bargained down to save time, but that’s the sad reality of the criminal justice system.
I hope you have healed well enough to enjoy the holiday season.
