I never understood this argument. So your arguing abortion is murder and bush wants to save these infants but at the same time he’s killing people on death row? So the argument here is hes allowing some people to live but at the same time hes murdering others? How can one even argue this? Surly one can’t compare a death row inmate to a baby!
But what I really don’t understand is, if you make a statement like this than how can you vote, or fight for a candidate who is pro-abortion? You’ve just admitted that abortion is murder. Very few arguments can be made why one would vote against somebody who is pro-life.
Maybe somebody can better explain to me what I’m missing in bigkahunas argument?
I’m so glad you brought this up. I’ve been wanting to express myself on this issue, and your statement and question gives me an opportunity to do so.
1- I have yet to see a man who has ever given birth to a child.
2 – It seems that most people have forgotten the real reason why abortions were made legal in the first place.
When abortions were illegal, many, many young girls were routinely brought into emergency rooms bleeding to death from botched attempts to self-abort using coat-hangers and other objects. Others would take all manner of poisons becauseh someone told them it would cause a miscarriage. Still others went to people in back rooms who made a tidy living from performing kitchen table abortions. Many girls died from these attempts. Others were left unable to have children.
Now you can believe what you want about whether abortions are “killing babies”, but the fact is: You can’t force someone to have a baby if they don’t want to! If they are willing to die rather than have it. And many, many were doing just that!!
You can make all the laws in the world about it, but that won’t stop it. We’ve been there before. The carnage in young lives was too high. The will of the people was that it was better to allow legal abortions safely performed, than go through these young girls risking death!
See, it’s not the boys whose lives are in danger. And boys aren’t going to stop trying to have unprotected sex, regardless of the consequences. They are just going to walk away.
Facts are facts.
So you have to choose which you are going to sacrifice. Young girls dying, maybe your daughter, at some future time, or safe, legal abortions.
It’s time for people to figure out that you cannot make people do what you think they should, with their own bodies. It is truly not your business!
So killing is not killing, there are “degrees” of killing. But bombing abortion clinics and shooting doctors, is that better than performing abortions?
