F&P a 72hour cookie is unacceptable. Most programs cookie the user with the last referring affiliate or time out after at least 90 days. I would not recommend or promote a program which uses 72 hr cookies.
Ideally a cookie should remain in effect until the user signs up OR they are referred by another affiliate who “closes” the sale. This last referrer policy is very important because in the past unreptuable affiliates were secretly cookieing millions of visitors via spam and 1 pixel pop ups then “stealing” the sales when a real affiliate actually refered the player to a casino.
