As far as Yahoo converting better it might be because you have alot of webmasters checking your site trying to see how your ranking so well. That’s just a guess.
Webmasters would be clicking, not depositing wouldn’t they? 
Traffic has increased by approx 20% in the last 3 months but conversions on our more popular sites approx 40%…hence my observation.
Conversion differences on yahoo and google….I would be interested if anyone else experiences that. Google is still my homepage and I believe google is now in the dictionary…tough act to follow for any engine. 
But, my personal preferences have nothing to do with it, if people are searching it I want to be in it.
