I am told that thiefware is a lot less effective these days and sales are way down.
There will be someone speaking on it in Vegas – no, it didn’t slip past me. It is called “contextual advertising” and there is benign contextual advertising also. I am not sure wether this talk will be on benign versions – but I don’t think so. If it is about spyware targeting search engine results it may be quite interesting.
I encourage people to sit in that section of the conference.
