About 5 months long. It generally gets cloudy and starts raining sometime in October and the sun comes out again in the spring.
Winter temperatures don’t normally go below the freezing point, except occasionally at night. Just cold enough that you need to put on a jacket and, sometimes gloves.
Of course, I live a stone’s throw from the water, (I can hear the sea lions barking from the house) so I don’t get much frost at all.
Summers are very sunny and dry, with temperatures ranging from 75 – 85 F. Summers are perfect.
Another way to describe the weather here is to say it’s almost exactly like Seattle. On the island, where I am, we get much less rain than Seattle, because we’re on the leeward side of the mountains.
