I think we’ve done that. I gave my honest opinion concerning the value of the domain name. I think it’s worth $250, and that’s pushing it. I would not pay a penny more.
As for the value of a domain like poker.com it goes beyond search engines. Type ins would be common, and branding would be easy.
There have been many casinos with the name online-casino.com and those perform the worst. You cant brand a name like that. I rather have something memorable like captaincookscasino or riverbellecasino. Those are names that an image can be centered around. Not only an image, but a theme.
Ever hear of netgamingcasino.com ? Probably not, they had to shut down because of netgaming.com The reputations were getting confused. Neither casino are very successful, part of it is the software, but they are also not very memorable. Imagine how easy it would be to confuse a casino called online-casino with some other casino called casino-online.
