With only a few exceptions domain names themselves are generally worthless, but this one is interesting. The basic principal is the site ranking first in free search results doesn’t need a “brand” of any other kind, and this one has the algorithmically best domain name there is for the topic. But that alone isn’t enough, as is obvious from its current nowheresville ranking. The domain has serious legacy issues as it was previously a doorway and now has the awful pageseeker/roar content on it that is the equivalent of “box office poison”.
Immovable object versus irresistible force — excellent algorithmic name for search engines, extremely poor previous occupants that may be responsible for longstanding poor opinion from the same search engines.
Bottom line, the domain is more valuable to people in direct proportion to their knowledge and talent. Somebody with no clue likely could never make it work; someone who knows what they are doing could give it a good run, probably (assuming it doesn’t have any actual penalties associated with it in which case it isn’t worth anything since as previously noted it can’t be branded).
