Yeah, that’s why I used them as an example. Aside from the difficulty of actually finding a USP for some online gambling sites, the problem comes once you’ve sent the click to the casino or sportsbook. You may know what the USP is, you may even have the best pre-sell text on your own site that the world has ever seen but….when they get to the casino…. If that information isn’t immediately reinforced on the landing page, then there’s a chance you’ll lose that player.

This is a problem with most online casinos and many sportsbooks. They’re damn lazy about providing enough landing pages for their affiliates and they rely too much on traffic volume for conversions. Imagine if you were an affiliate of Shoes.com or someone and you’re promoting Nike Air Jordans but you could only link to a homepage that didn’t mention either Nike or Air Jordans. Sale lost even though Shoes.com might have the cheapest Air Jordans in the widest range of sizes.
