My sentiments exactly … I view this site as an informational resource to affiliates and more so to “newbie” affiliates. Thus ALL available information needs to be disseminated to everyone and to do this requires access e.g. public areas.
I fully understand the necessity to acquire funding, but the title of “certified” should be reserved for the upper echelon of affiliate programs. I have no idea as to what criteria is applied to potential candidates, but as an informational resource I believe it should be CAP’s duty to apply stringent guidelines/criteria for acceptance if the title of “certified” is going to be utilized.
When I posted in the public forums about members having issues with the program it was my intent to notify the public – I didn’t quote anything or anyone … I merely stated that I believed some individuals had issues with the accuracy of their stats.
This is my opinion and I mean no harm to the site – it’s not personal it is based in providing quality service to unsuspecting individuals (newbies.) Hell most, if not all of the senior affiliates have formed opinions about almost all programs – we are not the ones at risk – it’s the new webmasters coming to CAP for information that are at risk.
That was my #1 biggest gripe with GPWA – they (she) started allowing anyone in so long as they were willing to front the money. Never thought Id need to vent here …
