Well – seeing as Im a guy I cant speak for the women. And I cant say that the index was not appealing in a way. Just not along the same lines as my experience tells me works. I have a considerable amount of click data to base this perception on and it doesnt tell me whether the visitor is male or female. Just players. Women do play a considerable if not dominant role in the player marketplace but a broad appeal is what you should be shooting for.
