Thanks for the recap, professor.
I am still being hit by sobig – I get some 10 mails every minute and am mass purging my mail constantly.

quote:

Lower conversions due to increased difficulty processing online gambling transactions. The noose is getting ever tighter and our players are getting more and more frustrated in regards to banking. Even previously accepted debit cards are now routinely rejected. You can see evidence of this in the increased number of Neteller promotions offered by the casinos as they scramble to find alternative payment methods that offset the lost revenues.

This is my worst worry. Payment methods are a huge problem. In my opinion it is the single most important obstacle this industry faces, bigger yet than the US law.

See all those downloads without real players in your statistics?

That is getting worse and worse! I think we need to get active promoting two things: Neteller, which I think will weather the storm, and profreedom, which is doing an excellent job and will succeed this time around also, with our continued support.

There is one more factor. Scumware.

Yes, it is growing into an epidemic. Just yesterday I downloaded Gator for the first time since I got booted from GPWA, and what I see has my hair stand on end.

With the lack of general support, and even accusations by Cindy of inappropriate conduct in the matter, I have stopped contacting Gator’s new casino clients. No more conversations about how much they are hurting affiliates, and so now they are not dropping Gator. The boycott is basically off, nobody is minding the ship.

Gator, whenu and several other scumware products are stealing us blind. All hell is unleashed. They are not popping on top of most affiliate sites, but they are covering up the casinos your players picked with one that has Gator’s aff code, not yours.

This is getting to be a bigger problem by the day.

Gator is very happy, They will also attend the conference in Vegas unchallenged, since I have no proper way to address the affiliate community to arrange for an alternate event officially.

Inofficially, I herewith invite all of the affiliates and managers to meet in the lobby (bar) of the Stardust on the afternoon before CAC. I will not be up to arranging a complete event, but we can discuss action and perhaps go out for some fun while Gator speaks. I have already heard from several people who will be in Vegas to meet with other affilates and managers but will not attend CAC.

I am much more openminded this time around – perhaps I will even talk to Mr. Fishhead. It depends on the support I find for any actions.

Cheers!
