Yes, but what is appealing is the bonus itself, if the information for the bonus is presented juicy, people will still click on the text link or use the bonus code. Sometimes people that see banners just go away, but for example if you write review and just place a link like “Click here to visit ….” it wont look so much like advertisement.
Of course thats only my thoughts on that
