I have to disagree with this – Maybe you guys are differnt and you speak to all your affiliates –
I do a bit of “affiliating” as a hobby and all the programs I work with have no idea why I joined or where I came from and most of the time it has been from the posts etc in this forum from the AM and other affiliates along with checking AGD re the terms, not once has an AM ever asked me why I joined them and to be honest if they asked or had the question box I would never say CAP as I would be worried I would be a 2nd teir affiliate which may affect my rev share %
If you have an incredible relationship with every affiliate and they are 100% honest then of course you know where they come from but I don’t think this is teh case with the bulk of the programs.
I am also not just talking CAP here I am talking all forums generally –
On another note you would not believe the impact you have being active in a forum – You may not realise it but many of the bigger affiliates scan the forums on a daily basis and although it isn’t the decider whether they work with you, dump you or become interested it certainly has an influence
