Simon I apologize as I had no idea who was behind WTB … I merely provided information which has been published by a credible company and was sold to me from the non-fiction section of a very credible book seller (Noble and Barnes in fact as I remember buying the book. It was my introduction to OG)

this dates back far before the 2002 date you mentioned and had nothing to do with 888.

I don’t see it being rich to state that players were misled. If they were sent to a casino that turned out to be a bad deal then yes they were misled.

but since this all pre-dates your involvment with the site then it is not important.

It might be a good thing I brought this up. I imagine that I am not the only one under such impression. Any of those sites named would be sites I would avoid for the simple reason of why take the chance?

When I first posted in this thread I merely commented on the name which whether a part of or not at the time in question …. you still inherit the name and thus the reputation that comes with the name.

So if I was under the impression the sites named were bad choices then odds are good that I am not the only one who did not know there was new blood (that being yourself) … since the time when haywood accuses the negligence. I don’t know if you read the book but that quote is far from being the most unkind he makes.

And i haven’t been to WTB but it appears the approach is now more player-friendly and as such it might be a good idea to also note that there is new blood behind the new approach.

because I first saw it as being similar to Grand Prive’s starting the new aff program while shutting down the existing one. Meaning the same owners pissing on our leg while trying to convince us it was raining.

Quite different if it is new people to accompany the new approach. Good luck with it.

No need to apologise as it is nice to see some people do their research.

Phoenix Media the current owners my company along with a handful of other individuals owns WTB and have done so on paper since 2005. Before that we did some work on the site but mainly focussed on other forms of marketing.

We have neglected to really put the effort and time into the site and now we are starting a mamouth project that we hope in the long run will benefit the punters and pay back.

We are busy developing the following

http://forum.wheretobet.com (WTB forum)
http://sports.wheretobet.com (Sports Betting side of the site, launch Dec 15th)
http://casino.wheretobet.com (Casino side of the site, launch mid January)
http://poker.wheretobet.com (poker side of the site, launch mid January)
http://bingo.wheretobet.com (bingo side of the site, launch mid January)
http://asia.wheretobet.com (focus on the asian market)
http://uk.wheretobet.com (focus on the UK market)
http://euro.wheretobet.com (focus on the european market)
http://portals.wheretobet.com (we list and compare different gaming portals and rank them)

For each section we are developing we will have a dedicated team to working on that area and working closely with the providers.

Will keep you posted when I know more, but we are making baby steps for the time being.
