As a student of numbers it pays to realise that “weird sh!t can happen” to affiliate stats from time to time. So while I like intuition – I will also not make an immediate decision.
Generally, I’ll give any program I’m trailing or working with at least 3-6 months to let numbers settle out and come closer to the “average” that I expect for my site.
After that, if I’m still not happy with the numbers, and my profit levels are not where I expect them to be … THEN I will leave the program.
I really don’t care about the reasons or the excuses … if the bottom line profits are not what I want/need then I will not continue with a program.
Eventually, after a couple of years of this you will find that you are working only with programs which are regularly paying a good return.
