I had quit for 3 months then started smoking again about a week before Christmas.. Have quit again now… although not for the campaign reasons (mind you I can’t watch those ads on TV coz they make me feel sick) but because I want to start singing and recording again so I need to get my voice to top shape…
I have never been addicted – each time I’ve quit has been cold turkey.. I usually only smoke on the weekends and only if I’m around people that smoke, but after deciding to quit this time I’ve been around the party situations and not been tempted. I think I’m getting to an age where I have to start looking after myself a lot more or I’m going to suffer the consequences a lot more than when I was younger and that’s motivation in itself never to have another cigarette.
