CDs – lists are obtained through third party vendors and list rentals, mostly large scale media companies, and typically we don’t even see the lists – ixian – in your case your registrations was way too close to the delivery date of the CD for your claim of cross promoting. You have signed up on the 2nd of the month and then receive a CD on the 21st of the month. There is no way that we could have received your details and then delivered the CD to your door in the 3-4 week time frame (artwork/printing/mailing etc takes time – these campaigns take the marketing department months to plan). We wish we could turn around something like that but there is just no way for us to be that efficient. Thus your registration had nothing to do with the CD you received.
Any marketing company will have their physical promotions material created in bulk. So I find your excuse that it would have been impossible to create the campaign in three weeks rather insulting. The stuff has probably been sitting in a store room waiting for a new contact list to come along. I have never received any physical marketing material from you in the past. I find it very strange that soon after creating my account at Captain Cooks Casino I received the promotional material. Why was I not contacted this way before, as you correctly state that I had a previous dormant account at another casino from over a year back? Just a coincidence?
