Cheers Paul,

You’re totally right, it is my business. There have been posts here saying that maybe the account manager had a poor understanding of English.

I have not had any support from CPays. All they have done is hounded me into moving their banners into better positions on my site.

The friends who I have mentioned run TV campaigns for their sites, so I am just a tiddler compared to them. And I respect their input.

I have worked as an account manager in advertising for around 14 years, and having a good command of manner and language has always be a pre-requisite of the job.

Being picky, I would never tell a client that I am going out for a cigarette and then come back and deal with an enquiry. I would rather tell the client that I am going to consult a senior, even if I were to have a cig break!

I would never wait for a client to question me on my words, but provide an explanation of my words.

I would like to think that an account manager will provide solid support, with a level of indifference. After all, I am the client and I am marketing their products in my time/effort/money.

Whilst on the one-hand, this thread may seem completely trivial. On the other there is a case for weeding out affiliate networks that provide a poor service against those that are true to word.

Surely, that is a factor this is of utmost importance to those of us hosting affiliate banners…?

If we aren’t marketing them, they won’t make revenue. If we do market them, then we all make revenue, as long as they payout.

If not, stop marketing them. It’s their loss more than ours.
