Well, I would always look from the affiliate side of things first, since the affiliates are “my people” :)

I would like to note that AiruaL said he/she was inexperienced in online casino affiliation, but stated that he knows a thing or two about online gambling and affiliation – maybe he was a poker affiliate or rakeback guy or something. How experienced you are is not the point at all. The point of his post was that he had to wait 8 days to learn his account was closed (for whatever reason) and only after he/she contacted them.

The point of my post was that it was a lame excuse, when you could simply say: “We do not allow hits from spamming or listing on newsgroups, or any other fraudulent method. In the event any of the above conditions exist, we will invalidate all current traffic and terminate your account without notice.” as per our T&C. When you sign under this kind of T&C – you cannot blame anyone for getting zapped. Here is another zinger from RW: “We may terminate any account for any reason with full payment.”

I am going on 8 years actively in this business and I doubt that any of you have ever seen me. It’s because it’s a business for me and I expect a business relation – not looking for friends. A good affiliate program manager sends an email before going on leave with details on when they’ll be back and an email of another affiliate manager if you need to contact them meanwhile. A good affiliate program responds to an email within 24 hours. Any other behavior is below standard.

P.S.

Aff managers don’t make the kind of salaries that warrant staying online and connected 24/7. If people are sick or otherwise indisposed, so be it.

If you are not happy with your current job – change it. A domain name goes for about $5 and 1 year hosting for about $30 – so with minimum investments and aff manager could try and see “how easy the affiliates have it.”
