Rob, i would suggest you not to use directory software.
Why? i have used it for my customer, i had 100 of complaints. caz it doesnt work. so let me give you some example why it doesnt work.
Directory software submit your pages, same way to all directory, but remember all directory are not same, there are 100 different directory, also most of them have image verification. which directory software doesnt recognize.
However, even If you submit manually to 10 directory, it will show up in google as backlinks and ranking.
once i have start manually, now all my customer is happy.
As a link building, i hate when someone place no-follow. linkbulding is not easy.
but u have to do hard work.
