Buying affiliate accounts should be about the affiliate ID – after all, it is the one thing that sums up the affiliate relationship. If a player comes in via an affiliateID – the owner of that affiliateID gets the credits, and thus – the payments.
This should not be a problem if purchasing the entire company of the original affiliateID owner. However, if it’s an individual purchase – the program has to be notified of the new party to the T&C. It can get complicated.
I wouldn’t be surprised if provisions for sale/transfer of affiliateIDs are included in T&Cs in the future.
