Although Owldeath2 was contacted via email regarding this double payment… the contract was never between pokeraffiliate.com and any company I owned. It was between me (my original affiliate account) and pokeraffiliate.com. The only reason they contacted him in the first place was because the person handling the situation at the parent company had that as my last email address cause it was on the contract, but as I stated earlier they could have easily just looked in my affiliate account and seen that my contact info had been updated immediately after the sale of the site.
In no way were the new owners legally responsible for this oversight and that’s why I was so surprised at the amount of response this thread got. I do however admit it does make for an interesting discussion on the legalities of taking over someone elses website.
Again, just a lack of communication that turned into an unfortunate incident and again that has already been dealt with.
