Wow, it does sound like just a few phone calls could have settled this whole thing. I’m glad it’s looking like it’s getting there.
A quick question—if an overpayment gets made can’t the over payer just take the money back out like banks generally do? Perhaps I’m still a tad to new and nieve, but seems to me they could just yank it back from the account they put it into unless the account was closed.
Anyway, sorry the drama got so far. In buying a site, I suppose one would have to make it clear that the site only was being purchased and not the liabilities as well, on the other hand if the site is bought or sold as a “business” then it’s very likely the assests and liabilities are both assumed to be part of that deal.
Anyway, I hope the stress level peters out soon and everone can sleep easier. I know if I had someone breathing down my neck for 5K & hadn’t seen comming my wife would kick me out of bed for tossing and turning so much because I’d be so stressed and not sleeping.
