We spent a great deal of time with our lawyers discussing the risks of travelling to the States after the recent events. After much deliberation we decided that no matter how small the risk may be, it wasn’t worth taking. We by no means took this decision lightly, and all of us on the WagerShare team who were due to attend your event are very disappointed to not be able to do so.

We have had to break arrangements we’d made to meet with many affiliates and as such missed an excellent opportunity to see old friends and business partners, and forge new ones.

I would think that under the circumstances you would understand that you would lose some of your exhibitors and sponsors. What I find absolutely incredulous is the level of respect that you have for your customers, especially like those of us at WagerShare and others who have now cancelled, who have been loyal to your events for some time.

A display of such a lack of professionalism doesn’t lend any credence to your posts that are supposed to ease our concerns.

What I am seeing in the online gaming industry is a separation of the ‘Men from the Boys.’ Most of the delegates are still coming. We still have alot of exhibitors at this event as well. The parties are still taking place. The dust is settling over the news. Meanwhile, the ‘boys’ continue whine like sissies online across the internet.

Maybe its for the better. This will be an event of entrepreneurs with GUTS, something I admire.

It wasn’t like we wanted to throw away the $5000 exhibitors fee, but as I’ve explained above we were left with no choice. At no point have you offered some sort of compensation to the fee, even if it was tied in with Amsterdam 2007. Whilst I understand that you have no obligation to do this under your terms and conditions, it is quite common in any business (especially the affiliate industry) to compensate in these situations in the interest of forming a long term partnership.

You seem completely oblivious to this and having taken our $5000 all we’ve received from you in return is name calling and an ugly taste in our mouths.

Also, I was sure that was the 60 minutes film crew on the show floor last year and judging by how quickly the show cleared, so did everyone else. If this was never the case you would do well to let people know (in a more professional manner than above) because it is a widely believed rumour.

Sincerely,
