Hello All,

I am sorry that my previous post caused such a tidal wave. That was neither its intention nor its meaning. I understand where your frustration is coming from regarding the spammers. But I think that if you will take things as they are instead of trying to look for ulterior motives you will se that we are not ignoring our terms and conditions and if needed they will be enforced.

Regarding the comment about helping an affiliate, you are missing the point entirely. There are many affiliates out there that scrape sites not for some deep ideological reasons as some of you put it here, but simply because they can’t write their own content. Some of them don’t know that if you copy someone else’s content you can harm yourself and the original website. And no, I’m not being naïve here; I personally know a few affiliates that used to steal content and we’ve offered to write content for them and now they’re totally legit. You need to understand that not everyone who has a potentially good domain actually knows what to do with it, not everyone is as Internet-savvy as you are. In the base of any affiliate program is a partnership, and you all seem to forget it. It’s not the affiliate program vs. the affiliates death match. There are things that need to be worked out and they will be, just like Dominique said “one step at a time is good”.

Helping an affiliate does not mean that we approve of spam techniques and it does not mean that we “embrace spam”. If the affiliate wants help, why not give it to him? We have a great support team here who are willing to assist affiliates in all their queries including the SEO ones. It’s probably a shameful thing to say in this altruistic thread, but if the affiliate gets new content and receives a few SEO tips and his website is clean of any spam, it will probably strengthen the partnership, make the affiliate happy and the worst and utmost scary of all – make the affiliate program happy.

No, not everyone will be treated that way. Some accounts will be frozen, and other measures will be taken if needed. You all just need to give this a chance, and give us some time to start implementing our policies before you criticize them. This whole thing started because of the SEO competition which is now officially Google friendly, yet some of you continue to discuss its faults. Dominique, who started the post about the competition, is content with the change. You’re already deep inside the blacklist procedure, so you have nothing to loose by sitting back and letting us prove ourselves.

I guess this post is long enough for now, so I will wish you all a great day! :hattip:

Sincerely yours,

Ora
