After getting involved in this discussion I started thinking about the whole thing. eCOGRA has nothing to do with affiliates. As far as affiliates go, eCOGRA is neutral, except to hear us out about problems our players are having. The only direct way eCOGRA affects us is that it inspires confidence among players and provides an outlet should players encounter any problems.
Overall, I believe eCOGRA is an asset to this industry. In fact, I use eCOGRA on my one of my websites as an endorsement for some of the casinos I promote. Up until now, I had no reason to doubt their integrity, and I’m sure that they do have integrity as far as approving casinos goes, with the possible exception of 888.com.
The only problem affiliates have with eCOGRA is the possibility that 888.com is not getting the same treatment as the other casinos.
