Very interesting design. I think the top animated graphic takes too long to complete for the average user. I would try and speed that up a bit.
I would also try an add more content and provide some sort of navigational structure for your users to access any page on your site at any time. Say they were on one of the article pages, why not give them to option to visit one of the poker room reviews and play directly from that page?
