As for Europe, my belief is that there is a potential for US based ISP to block their US subscribers only. It is unlikely this would take place from satelllite ISP’s abroad.
With regard to the event, I’m speaking in Amsterdam. I really wanted to go to CAP but unfortunatley I will be in Beijing at the same time.
As for small affiliates, you would probably still have your market. But you need to grow in order to have more negotiating power. More so than today, that will be the most important aspect for affiliates in a post-ISP filtered universe: Negotiating Power.
Lastly, imagine the way hackers work….or the way Shareaza or Gnutella or eDonkey works. It will be similar, but not that difficult for the gambler. The bottom line is that it is extremely unlikely to be stopped. If you block an online gaming site, they will most likely go the route that the hackers described to me. However, they will be using affiliates. Strong affiliates will have much negotiating power.
