I dont think you are making a mountain out of a mole hill…. 
I think the issue comes down to understanding…. I for one NEVER understood that their system would be a combined one that my Poker PLayers would have instant access to casino games for which I COULD recieve revenues. HAD I understood that, I would have had the opportunity to change FROM CPA to RevShare back some time ago, and therefore position myself to take advantage of the change….
i dont feel that opportunity was given to affiliates…..
