Not sure I agree on this one – the good stats over time enable me to squeeze more out of the properties. Long as I am motivated to try to make the very best of something, thorough stats definitely help me do that.

Here is my case in point; February 8, 2006

I get this hit on my server stats:

xhttp://search.msn.com/results.aspx?q=free+bingo+games+no+deposit+required&srch_type=0&first=11&FORM=PERE
Page 2 of 179,590

The hit lands on:
xhttp://www.youbettowin.com/bingo/

I put up that page last month. I know the page activity. I have 5 Sponsors on the page.

BingoHall – RevenueGiants
BingoCafe
BingoCard
KiwiBingo
SuperSlotsBingo

Where did I go to see if the Search Engine hit converted at all?

I went to Revenue Giants. Why? They are the only one with referring url stats.

BINGO

Roo – you can check on this and I have to add…Revenue Giants are good – but to be the absolute best – having “daily” versus “monthy” referring url stats would be fantastic. But I can live with the present situation.

Under tracking code Source ID for youbettowin/102867
I get xhttp://www.youbettowin.com/bingo/

That’s a fair and pretty accurate summary for me of a click thru – showing me a referring url – to a join.

How can I summarize this as being a join via an SE hit – to a Sponsor? Only an educated guess. I study my traffic daily.

But the 4 other programs – don’t show me referring urls. So – yes – it’s guess work – but why should it have to be so hard.

Knowing that you created a page – got it into the engines – got a click and got a join……..the tracking of all……….should be OUR gaming experience. That should be the fun in what we do as affiliates.
