Thanks for all the kind thoughts for me and my family.
However, we’re the lucky ones. We’re safe, our home is undamaged awaiting our return, and we had the ability to conveniently depart the area while things improve.
My week has run the gamut of emotion, from fear for the safety of my family, to guilt about how easily we were able to sustain a comfortable existence while so many hundreds of thousands of others were suffering.
So much tragedy, so much loss. My heart goes out to the many families who lost loved ones, or still don’t know the status of their loved ones.
