SEO, is, despite what some may say, very hit and miss. Stick with the basics, there are no secrets but one and that is fresh content is king. Keep it relevant to your page and you will get there. Tricks may get you listed but also may dump you the next day into SE oblivion.
SE position is also vastly over rated. You have a top ten spot for blackjack? WOOOHOO! How much money did that earn for the month for that super duper blackjack optimised page that tells a visitor nothing but a bunch of keywords you spent hours coming up with? Zero?
I’d rather have 1 page less optimised and linked from other pages that can be found quickly…the way I search myself, I want the most relevant information as quickly as possible, not a mass of click here clik there mumbo jumbo.
Bottom line, put yourself in the surfer seat.
