Glad I could clear it up for you. It’s definately easier to come to being a poker affiliate from being poker player rather than from being an affiliate. It’s a whole new game, even if it looks a lot like the online casino industry.
Absolute is especially bad for wacky deposit numbers because for some damn dumb reason they insist on offering 15% bonuses. Maybe if they were no cashout till cleared (like Bodog) this would be OK, but allowing players to just cycle money through the account once or twice a week to rack up more and more pending bonus is just insanity.
They also need to promote to gamboolers, their games are damn rockgardens full of people who fold 80%+ of their hands (bad for me as a player because I can’t win anywhere near as much and bad for me as an affiliate because it makes for low rake numbers).
They do good customer and affiliate support, but have some serious flaws in their business model.
I keep thinking I should give up on the affiliate game and become a poker industry consultant. Nobody listens to my rants on forums, but put me in a suit and they’ll pay good money for the same opinions (with less rhetoric and sarcasm and stuff).
