My opinion is this. WE need to set the precedent here.
Forget any second chance, forget negotiation. Any program who breaks T&Cs should get the flush immediately and permanently. There should be no plunger capable of reversing this type of behavior.
This is important as many have noted… what happens here will likely determine the course of many other affiliate programs… if we get run over, the rest will make sure we stay down. Time to put the hoof in the mouth!
We should have a forum in here for programs that break their T&Cs. Once on this list, you will not be removed, the list should represent the demise of the program in the affiliate industry.
We should partner with other programs that we may / may not agree with or have had differences with in the past to make the largest impact we can.
THEIVING IS NOT EXCUSABLE, NOT EVEN ONCE. THIEVING IS A BREACH OF TRUST. NO SECOND CHANCE, THEY HAVE ALREADY SHOWN THEIR TRUE COLORS.
I agree that the removal of T&C violators once and for all from the Certified Programs list is a first step in showing we mean business. I also respect the Professor to make that call when he feels the time is right. I’m pretty fired up at the moment as you can tell.
