I have a player who regularly plays $200 and $300 heads up single table tournaments. This player has been questioning their rake back total for some time and I have tried to be as forward with him as possible. Even showing screen shots of the reports Chipleader provides me to help show them that I am not trying to cheat them.
In August my player went so far as to document every tournament they played in and provided me with a detailed account of their daily activities. Every single day the Revenue provided by Chipleader’s stat was lower!
On 8/26 I began inquiring what is happening. The first response I received was basically a form letter to point me to the Payments section of the Terms and Conditions. The T&C refer to deductions but that portion of the report shows $0.00 for each day.
Finally on 9/11 I was told the following:
Quote:The deductions made are for processing fees, which are made before the amount displayed on the stats. So for example, the amount shown as Poker tourney rev on the stats, already has the deduction made.
Regards,
Payments DepartmentThis strikes me a very shady, and it concerns me that they have 3 columns for deductions (Processing Fees, Bonus Dollars, and Total Deductions) and they are not using these fields, instead they are deducting the fees in the dark from their affiliates.
I immediately asked for Chipleader to correct this but my e-mails have gone unanswered since that time. I have also contacted Marcela and she is not responding to my inquiries either.
October 4, 2008 at 4:36 pm #781032AnonymousInactiveAnd processing fees seem all screwed up.
Since adding it as a column (this month), I have had 3 straight negative days of total revenue…I have NEVER had 3 negative days of revenue before ever in a row.
So, something is obvioulsy off – or they are just starting to increase what they are deducting and it is going to cut our revenue in half.
Just when it looked like they were starting to get it together :flush:

I am looking into this player’s numbers right and will let you know as I said in my email.
The deduction were just changed so that ONLY those players who are U.S. players and that make a deposit will be charged a processing fee based on the method of deposit. Unlike other rooms, on AP we deduct 0% of bonus deductions…
Have a great day!

October 13, 2008 at 8:08 pm #782341AnonymousInactiveHI Marcela,
When the PROCESSING FEES reports tab was up earlier this month, I checked it out and it said I had a $500 processing fee for a WITHDRAWAL of $4500.
I thought WITHDRAWALS weren’t charged fees?…just deposits.
Also, I was talking to another affiliate who checked out their report and they were charged a fee for a player to player transfer…I thought this wasn’t charged either.
Could you please look into this?
Thanks,

I have sent a couple of emails without replies. Does the email at the site work? Should I mail to another address?
Thanks

corpfan1Hey CorpFan – I can guess at this one.
Just because a PLAYER is not charged a fee does not mean that a fee was not incurred, and as an affiliate partner you will have to wear your share of the real and true cost of processing.
That having been said, a $500 fee is outragous, as the maximum fees through any reliable legitimate banking organisation might be $30 to $45 at most … even with an intermediate bank.
The only provisio would be if those numbers were totals, so $4,500 withdrawn as (say) 10 seperate transactions – then you could get figues as you’ve mentioned.
As for player-to-player transfers – again the player might not be charged but …
I guess all you are paying for is an admin persons time to make the internal transfer.October 13, 2008 at 10:05 pm #782363AnonymousInactiveThanks for your help Gooner…
It was a SINGLE transaction of $4500 and there was a $500 fee.
But, I don’t mind “sharing” in the fees, etc…cause I am on MGR and that is what I figured was fair, but again – $500 is outrageous for 1 transaction. But the other problem is I was told, only DEPOSITS would be charged and thsi was a WD.
I also had a $300 single transaction as well this month.
October 13, 2008 at 10:23 pm #782364AnonymousInactiveAnyone else not been paid for September yet? I thought it was supposed to be the 10th every month…
October 14, 2008 at 12:56 am #782381AnonymousInactiveHey CorpFan.
I hear what you’re saying regarding the fees.I do a very transparent MGR with PinnacleSports bookmaker, and they give me quality reporting which breaks out all the fees by player ID and gives me everything, including the payment / withdrawal method and actual costs per transaction.
This (along with my ex-banking experience) gives me a pretty good feeling for costs and charges for moving money around the place in the current market.
Although it must be said that since PinnacleSports have dropped all US players I do not have a handle on what it costs to use these new small payment operators who are still prepared to service US customers … perhaps they REALLY do charge that much to cover the risk factor of confiscated funds due to UIGEA …

I was paid to player account on the 10th, the money is traveling now through Moneybookers/my bank account I think
Chipleader pays on time, just if you have problems it is very hard to reach them…October 14, 2008 at 12:17 pm #782430AnonymousInactiveI haven’t been paid either – normally it is the 10th without fail? I am paid directly to neteller, is there some kind of hold up?
themacOctober 16, 2008 at 8:57 pm #782767AnonymousInactivewell I was paid a few days ago (thanks). However, my stats have gone all over the place tonight. Processing fees are showing as $1635, net revenue is showing as -$1635, and my payment amount (+net amount) are 10% lower than the total last night. I am hoping this updates properly tomorrow, the stats seem to be jumping all over the place.

October 24, 2008 at 8:56 am #783925AnonymousInactiveWell, no response from anyone from chipleader here.
My stats have not been right since I last posted. For some reason my account is showing ever increasing processing fees (over £2k now) and matched negative revenue. However, given that I my revenue is derived from sub-affiliates this doesn’t seem to make sense. My account still shows a payment due (from sub-affiliates).
However, since the stats for processing fees etc appeared, my daily average has dropped from nearly $40 a day – in fact every day since those processing fees appeared I have struggled to earn $15. The month was going great, until the 16th (when the dodgy stats appeared). Since then my revenue has dropped off a cliff – conincedence that this happened on exactly the same day that these processing fees stats started to appear?

November 6, 2008 at 4:17 pm #785737ian_goMemberI thought this thread deserved a bump as we are still waiting on a response from ChipLeader.
November 6, 2008 at 5:15 pm #785750fronkeeMemberHi everybody,
I’m really sorry about the delay, we have been really busy with the CEREUS launch. It will happen very soon and we are all very excited about it! :happydanc
We are aware of the problems with the stats. That has been going on because of the migration of information to the new platform. It should be fixed any time soon, we are just getting everything ready for the big day.
Have a great day!
