InactiveI get a rash of poker rooms every week. Gets real old real fast.
Then I love the ones that email me that I have removed from my network in the past, were better now, we have new ownership.. So I ask for $1000 to cover the issues I had in the past and they get mad and ask for proof I am owed somthing lol..

Jeeez. I don’t mind a gentle e-mail enquiry but EVERY FRICKIN’ DAY now I’m getting e-mailed, phoned, MSN’s, ICQ’d by TOO many damn programs who just won’t take ‘no’ or ‘not yet’ or ‘we’ll let you know’ for an answer. If it ain’t Lucky Ace then it’s europartners and it’s getting goddam annoying.
yes, I got one from europartners as well.

vladcizsolMemberBusiness is tough right now and programs are doing all they can to remain viable. Unfortunately this brings along nagging. Nature of the beast at the moment.

Unfortunately it doesn’t help, just see the thread in connection with Luckyace. They have private informations (phone numbers, etc) in their possession which are ONLY available to the programs I worked/work with. I really would like to find out who is selling our affiliate details (or which program’s ex-affiliate manager/employee is responsible for the data leech).

InactiveI think what annoys me the most is when they won’t just bugger off when you tell them nicely that you’re not looking to add new programs. Nag, nag bloody nag – “oh, go on… we’re the best…. we rock… don’t you WANT to make loads of MONEY!?!?…. are you mad?”
Even worse, when you tell them no thanks. And another rep from there bugs you tomorrow. And the next day it’s ANOTHER rep. Communicate with each other!!!

poluroud20MemberFrom an AM’s point of view, I can maybe give you an insight of how I carry out this task.
I normally send an email or fill in the online form – sometimes, when I don’t get a response, I will send another or contact them via here.
If I don’t get a reply, well, I know there is not really much point.
But it would be great to get some feedback as to why you may not promote a program.
I am not justifying EuroPartners’ actions at all but maybe they need it in writing! :wink-wink
I can also say that when an affiliate writes his/her AM and doesn’t get a reply, sometimes it can lead to complaining on forums etc.
I don’t mean to offend anyone with this post just think that AMs have targets and want to do well – hence the chasing of new business.

InactiveNo one has my phone number so no one calls me. :3eyes:
The mail – doesn’t bother me. The penis enlargement mail bothers me.
Solicitation is part of business. I would start worrying if no one tried to get on my site anymore.
Some are more annoying than others, like the two above. But I have also joined programs as result of solicitation. Or looked at some I never thought about before.
I also find out about new ones that way and consider that useful.

InactiveWithout going into too much detail, I found generally there was a commonality between the callers which is quite easy to circumnavigate

InactiveI get contacted all the time by various affiliate programs, I really dont see a reason to be annoyed by this, Luckily the delete button on the outlook is very accessible :wink-wink
they are just trying to their job and when you think how long it takes to delete emails it really isn’t that much. Regarding phone calls, been in the business for more than 5 years and never been “re nagged” on the phone by programs turned down. (maybe I’m just lucky:)Weblight

InactiveWhat I don’t like is the emotional blackmail like when they’ve taken you out at a conference or something and they say ‘but we were so close, don’t you remember when I did X for you and went out of my way to do Y, did that mean nothing?’. Well that was before your program no longer suited the needs of the site.
I would never give my phone number to any program, though despite this I was amazingly impressed and annoyed that my parents in another country got a phonecall from CPAYS!!

InactiveI remember Chris sending me an email a while back, and it was really well written and I had a good look at the program. I don’t remember if I replied or not, but that was the type of email I like to see from an affiliate manager contacts me. The first thought that went through my head is as soon as I start getting some decent German traffic I will promote them. The reason I didn’t sign up is because I didn’t want to waste their time with maybe sending 1 player a year.
But a lot of programs are very annoying such as luckyacepartners… and casinopays (mind you lately casinopays has been doing much better)
I also have privatewhois on a lot of websites while that helps it doesn’t prevent all contacts. I have had programs resort to facebook lately which I find annoying. If I have an existing relationship with the person and they contact me I don’t mind at all, but for someone to contact me out of nowhere on there is spam.

InactiveWhilst most of us understand people all have a job to do, it’s the stupid ones that annoy me. Do your job properly, look over my site if you say you have, try and personalise it a bit, point out the benefits that distinguish your program from another (maybe one I have on my site at the moment) and then I might consider it a bit more. And by benefits I don’t just mean marketing spin to make something every other program has seem that bit more special.

InactiveI think this went a little off topic, When people stop asking me for a listing I will be concerned. The part I do not like is when I say no, I should not have to get 25 follow up calls and emails telling me im missing the gretest thing since Neteller (old days)
With Lucky Ace i swear they removed me from the list 18 times, thats when i started getting phonecalls.
