affiliategodMemberDear Sheryl,
Thank you for your request.
The Safe Port Act is a piece of United State legislation that prohibits
the transfer of funds from a financial institution to an Internet
gambling site, i.e a legislation that will prohibit US Banks and other
financial institutions from processing gambling transactions. We are not sure of any official complaint websites regarding the law,
but CasinoMeister.com is known for their forums being noted by relevant
parties.Again, we apologize for this but we will keep you notified of any
changes.Regards,
Kim

InactiveI edited the above quote because I was informed it was sent in error and may be inaccurate.
Lets wait until we know what’s actually happening, the rumor mill can go nuts in times like these.
The programs speculate about it all the same way we do, and the deleted item was a speculation and should not have been mailed out.
Back to the actual problems.

I gotta agree with axl here, you can’t go around applying favouritism to a program you might be fond of, it’s not fair to everyone else

InactiveCAP policy is that authors have the right to change content.
The info was incorrect. It was retracted.
We don’t like to post misleading crap on CAP.
There is no favoritism here, I have done the same for many, most frequently for greek I think.
I have blocked axl from my CAP posts for a reason, he just likes to mess with whatever I do. This way I don’t start telling who he really is, which I am very tempted to do when he messes with me.
I cannot see his posts and am much happier that way.

BTW – not that it is anyone’s business – I never gave this program more than a basic listing and hence had no appreciable income from there, nor have I spoken with Anoinette at any time.
This is absolutely no one’s business and the last time I will answer anything axl puts forth, apparently he has no business of his own to mind, he keeps needing to mess with mine.

InactiveI find your little feud somewhat entertaining, perhaps i was trying to fuel it and egg you on
Seriously though, i got the impression that if a similar situation arose with cpays or 888 you would not have taken the same action as you did here
The biggest problem here is that these casinos are further complicating a confusing issue, and i can understand how this would irritate people
It also looks like a mini scam brewing, where casinos are afraid to admit they dont accept US players, because affiliates will pull them from their sites and they wont get any traffic, why else would you claim business as usual when it’s obviously not the case

affiliategodMemberI do not see how it was sent in error as I just phoned them again, and was told, no New Jersey!
The email said, you are not welcome and they meant it!
To this day, I have not seen a law that prohibits NJ! If I am missing something, please provide a link so that I may be enlightened,

InactiveI find it interesting that Vegas Partners will take the time to make private messages to have a post edited, yet are not willing to make a straight forward response to the accusations.
We’re all in the same boat here, and affiliates deserve to know who is and is not accepting U.S. players! This is how we make a living and we certainly need to know where we stand as far as our U.S. traffic is concerned.
If online casinos aren’t accepting U.S. players, or not accepting players from certain states, we damn well have a right to know and all certified affiliate programs should be expected to come clean with us.
I am a Vegas Partner affiliate, and I have not received any emails from them addressing this issue, although I have seen emails similar to the one posted above which excludes players from certain states.

InactiveIt is my job as a moderator to edit posts at the request of authors.
I try to discourage it, and we don’t delete.
If you want to egg things on, I will move the thread to freeforall and out of the professional section and you guys can have yourselves a nice flame time.
We do not flame in the professional section.
This erroneous account closure (and probably some to follow) stems from these speculations about what may happen. Someone mistook a “what if” for a “definitely so”. We have to be careful not to do that, because a lot of affiliates have to base decisions on what they see here.
What is brewing, from what I can ascertain, is that the licencing jurisdictions for the casinos are in the process of making decisions about what they want to require from their licencees and lots of ifs, whens and buts are being thrown around and discussed.
I believe that most of these jurisdictions will make announcements next week.
Then we will know what the casinos are up against, but still not how they will cope. See the article http://in.today.reuters.com/News/newsArticle.aspx?type=technologyNews&storyID=2006-10-12T191629Z_01_NOOTR_RTRJONC_0_India-272022-1.xml , which I posted elsewhere, for more information too.
Nothing is said and done. The casinos obviously want to preserve their revenues. We are seeing places like casino coins and VIP seperating from the publicly held parent company in order to continue.
We will see casinos moving and leaving current licencing jurisdictions.
We will see casinos switching software in order to come back.
Everything is in flux.

affiliategodMemberThanks for the link to the article, dominique! Keep them comin. We need to understand all we can about what is going on these days!
So much confusion, though. **sigh** One day we will be able to make sense of it all. The sooner the better!

more4me’s post. Who requested that the post be edited? The author of the post, the author of the original email, or the affiliate program who wants their links to stay up for as long as possible? If Vegas Partner Lounge casinos are turning away certain players then affiliates of that group have a right to know immediately! Enough of the favoritism games; if emails are being sent saying that players accounts are being locked and players are being turned away post the god damn thing!
Didnt have enough time before closing? BS! Are their partners not important enough to take a few minutes to post a statement. The lack of a response in conjuction with the hiding of the truth clearly says that they dont care that much.
And I have nothing better to do than to mess with your business? How the hell is vegas partner lounge turning away certain players YOUR business and not mine?

vladcizsolMemberGuys I have received several PMs by MGS operators requesting that we remove the list of States they are not accepting US players from the forum also and CAP is honoring that request.
The licensees were advised by Microgaming that they did not want the list published. I would imagine Dom received the same PMs and was trying to respond to their requests.
My take on this is as follows:
I am GRATEFUL that Microgaming is sticking by us UNLIKE Cryptologic and Playtech. Yes, they are trying to come into compliance with US State laws. That only makes sense since people have been arrested for violating a state ban on online gaming. I dont think that Micr0gaming or their licensees have any hidden agendas here or deserve to be publically berated for this position.
Guys these are VERY tough times, we NEED quality partners to work with or we wont survive. Cut the MGS operators who ARENT pulling out of the US market some slack please.

Come to think of it, we have little choice in the matter.
But it is statements like the above one that makes me shiver in my (OK I don’t wear boots its in the nineties outside but that;s besides the point). Why would MGS not want to have the list published? Surely everyone needs to know what is going on. :tooconfus
Now here’s a thought. I give 0.50:1 odds that some MGS casinos will say they are not accepting players from those states and still do. I’ll give 0.25:1 that some of them will tell the affiliate that a players will be blocked from that state, and still take his business. Any takers? Transfer Neteller money to [email protected]. :hehe:
