Hard to answer, its only worth what a buyer thinks its worth.. I can say its not as much as it was last week but thats it.

What was the normal going rate – a year’s worth of commission?

As the sites will presumably come without affiliate accounts it would be something like the number of non-US real money depositors in a year times $100 (as an average CPA), minus the amount spent on advertising and hosting. Possibly reduced because of the threat of google taking action in the serps, or a knock-on effect of tighter regulations in other countries.

Am I missing anything out of this equation?

Apart from the complete inability to determine how many non-US depositors joined in a year, obviously. – I don’t think non-US traffic can be used as an indicator because in my experience it converts much less than US traffic, it would need to be determined how many actual non-US depositors there were, and I’m not sure how this is possible.

Why is everybody focusing on selling their portals, why don’t we do something more constructive and find ways around the problem instead of contributing to the already terrible situation there is?:cuss:

Absolutely, but for those who do want to sell or buy, this is the thread to discuss value.

The value of the site is subjective as you have pointed out for the most part they are worth what ever someone is willing to pay.

Considering most american affiliates probably have accounts with 50% to as much as 90% american punters its going to be tough to give 1x-2x yearly net income for a site. Is anyone really going to pay 2x a 100k yearly salary for something thats going to return 5% of the investment per year; hell no. Without potential to continue earning, sadly the sites arent worth much.

Yearly revenue – (Yearly revenue * Percentage of Non-US players) – all other expenses = Sales Value

That’ll be the one. Cheers Goldfinger.

That´s it in a nutshell but it gets more complex once you dig down into the line items such as “other expenses” etc. :1circling

so, for a 100k/month site with 90% US traffic and 25% in other expenses
the value is less than 0. Good.

    Casino/poker sites/domains wanted

Sites were valued on 6 months income to 18 months normally. Now I think you would be lucky to get 4 to 6 months worth or income ( just my opinion ). I do know someone looking to by at a fair price.. If your really serious in selling contact me and I will get you in touch with this person. It is always best to talk to a couple different buyers if possible to get the best value out of your sites.

You also have to consider the site too. Is it roulette-roulette-roulette.info or is it roulette.com? Also what are you buying the domain or the entire site; how much content, subscriber list, affiliate accounts, etc etc. Say in 2 years they bring it all back that 2 dashed info domain isnt going to be worth anything compared to that .com name.
