    I got this response from “The Rake Back Store” on 2+2;

Looks like it is dead. This is from the Stacks Forum that tried to promote it for a long time:

“As you all know we have had a very close relationship with Stacks from the beginning. I myself helped them set up many things. But it does look like Stacks is going under. They have not responded to anything in about 3 weeks and that pretty much sums it up. We haven’t heard anything from them to confirm they are going under, but it looks pretty apparent.

We are very disappointed since we invested so much into this company. But we do want to thank everyone who is a member here for helping us build a strong community. So here is the next step for us…”

Not only do they appear dead but they didnt even tell the affiliates so we could take down the banners and move on to a quality site.

I have no idea what you are talking about. Bonus Calculator?

Are you saying you have talked to someone at Stacks recently? I can’t find anyone that has heard a word in 3 weeks.

    Who did you talk to?

To be honest, dead or not, to start off like this is not good.

    I pulled them.

Even if they are having legit issues, the fact that they have not mentioned anything to anyone speaks volumes.

Is bradley reynolds still involved with the program? I know he was one of the original founders, but haven’t heard much about him lately?

I start a thread about Stacks Poker and you wanna talk about Bonus Calculators. Nice work posting your affiliate code to try and make some money on a silly calculator that no one will buy (even if you do get it “FIXED”).

    What a clown.

No one is still involved with stacks poker as far as I can tell. I emailed Brad, Kevin and several others. I think the doors are bolted and everyone has moved on.

They didnt even have time to erase their phone voice messages or tell affiliates “sorry, we’re done”.

My guess is they didnt say anything in hopes that the moneyman could locate an investor to bail his sorry a$$ out. I have no problem with someone failing in business. But not informing loyal supporters makes them losers in my book.

My guess is Brad’s no longer involved. I would bet he sold out his share and ventured elsewhere. He was probably having problems with programmers and it just wasn’t worth his time anymore. Believe me I know him personally and he doesn’t need the headaches if things weren’t working out for him and his investors. Brad would never intentionally screw anyone. Whoever bought him out is the responsible character.

The new guy is probably out looking for money, but he needs to let his loyal followers in on the loop. What other site out there is up and running with their technology? Is there anyone?

Sounds like you know much more about their infrastructure than I do. Could you fill me in? Is Brad the CEO and main $$?

    Did he then sell out?

Their technology didnt appear to ever work. I think thats where the problems started. 3D has been around for a long time.

True Poker is the biggest one I think. There are many “skins” that use similar setups. Most big players hate 3d (including me). When you are playing 4 (or 6-12) tables you want less memory use and less distractions and video game feel. If someone bought stacks and just went with a good “clean” 2D look they would do well with strong marketing, IMO.

The 3d idea was a horrible idea for stacks. Why not get some cash flow going with 2D instead of trying to be all things for all players. Delay after delay waiting for software meant no cash flow and unhappy affiliates.

2d takes up about 5-10 MB of memory. Stacks 3d was going to be about 170MB. Thats like installing 17 Pokerstars set ups on your computer. I don’t think they did their research on what big players want. I have one site where my play is more then the other 140 money players I have under me put together. If i’m stacks (or any new site) thats the player I want, not the 3d newbie lookin for a video game feel.
